Why Indoor Cycling?
It's an incredibly efficient and time effective way to perform quality sessions. It also allows you to focus on technique, most notably your cadence and pedal stroke. These type of coached sessions are designed to help you build your confidence, fitness and skills and boost your cycling performance. In Brighton we are lucky to have partnerships in place with two indoor cycling studios; Powerwatts and Rogue Cycle that offer some great training sessions and a discount for Brighton Tri Club members as well as hot showers and changing facilities!

It’s definitely a great way to help you stay focused and motivated and achieve the results you're looking for.

PowerWatts
The new Powerwatts cycling studio also now includes a cafe, retail outlet, physio, bike fit, and bike mechanic services.
Their sessions are open to all levels from beginners upwards, coaching is provided. These sessions need to be booked directly through PowerWatts.

Powerwatts FAQs

Where? PowerWatts has moved to Neptune Building, Edward Street, Brighton, BN2 0AT
When? The main club session is 7am on Tuesday mornings but you can join any other sessions too, see their timetable on their website.
Can I take my bike? Yes there is a bike rack inside the studio if you cycle there.
How many spaces are there in the class? 16 bikes = 16 available spaces to book.
Who is coaching these sessions? PowerWatts will be providing the coaching; the Head Coach is Steve Byrne, Kate is an experienced triathlon and endurance coach who recently joined and other coaches.
What pedal options do they have? For riders with cleats Powerwatts offer a good range of pedals including Speedplay, Look, SPD and Shimano. For those wearing trainers flat pedals are also available.
How much does it cost? - Pricing is based on a £15 per month membership subscription, members receive a 33% discount on the cost of a class which reduces the cost £15 to £10. Other discounts include drinks in the cafe, exclusive retail offers and promotions and priority access to events, launches, and community sessions. In addition, Brighton Tri Club members receive a 20% discount off any class.
Do I have to be a Powerwatts member? No you don’t and as a non-member you can still join a class and use the Brighton Tri Club members 20% discount off a class.
What is the new studio like? The new studio space is a lot bigger with more bikes as well as new services, including physio, bike fit, triathlon coaching, and mechanical work, these are priced individually so you only pay for what you need. As a Powerwatts member who also gain access to the three brand new treadmills and strength and conditioning equipment so you can add in a brick run or some S&C after your indoor ride!

Rogue Cycle
All classes have a great combination of music, exercise and people to fire up those endorphins like nothing else, leaving you with a real sense of wellbeing – both physical and mental. Rogue also provide complementary cycle shoes for all classes, so you get the best workout possible.

Sam Liddle one of the Brighton Tri Club coaches also coaches at Rogue and is offering Brighton Tri Club members a special discount and the opportunity to join her performance cycle session at their studios on Wednesday mornings at 7:15am.

Where? The studio is upstairs at the Cycle Hub next to the taxi rank at the back of Brighton Station.
